Robert, the owner, is our septic inspector. He is certified through the state and does very thorough septic examinations. Septic systems vary, but to properly inspect the system all points of access for the tank must be uncovered/accessible. If the septic is not accessible, we can also locate, scope, and excavate the system ourselves to get our clients the most accurate inspection as possible! We will make sure the system is properly sized, the components are in good condition, and the system is operating as it should. We do a hydraulic test to make sure the lateral lines are working as they should be, the system is not backing up, and their is no surfacing effluent in the leach field. Please note, in homes that have been vacant for more than 60 days we cannot perform a hydraulic load, as it can damage the lateral lines if we overload them after being dried out for an extended period of time. In situations like this, we can still inspect the system to make sure the components are in good condition and the tank is properly sized, however, we cannot determine whether or not the lateral lines are working as they should and the system is not backing up, by state standards.
We offer radon mitigation system installations. When we install a mitigation system, a radon test is included in the price to test and make sure the system is operating and has lowered the radon levels. Some homes that have very high radon levels or are larger homes may not be able to be mitigated to below 4.0 with one radon system. Occasionally a second radon system or a commercial system will need to be installed. If that is the case, we will work with our clients to figure out the best, most effective options to get the radon levels where they need to be so they can feel safe and secure in the most important place to be: their home.
